EBF attends Unity In The Community's Carpentry Graduation

Writer: elb295elb295

Last Monday, February 3rd in South Philadelphia Leslie and I were invited to help celebrate the graduates from the Unity in the Community’s Carpentry Academy. The boys spend 3-4 days a week learning carpentry skills and then are gifted tools at graduation to be able to go out and continue working in this trade. It was a formal event with dinner and words of encouragement and pride from Philadelphia political leaders demonstrating the impact that this program has.

Thanks to your support of our foundation, The Everett Beauregard Foundation, we were able to present a check to Anton Moore of Unity in the Community to help give even more young men the valuable skills they can use to build a better future. Unity in the Community also offers an auto mechanic program as well. Great kids, organization, and community support.

Special thanks to everyone for helping to make this installment of our mission a reality.
